  • What happens if my dog gets lost?
It's important for you as the owner to trust me and that I will treat your dog as my own, I will only walk a maximum of two dogs in order to make it safe. Every care will be taken not to lose your dog, however if your dog does get lost it's important to have your dog microchipped (which is a legal requirement by law). It is also illegal for your dog to be out in public without a collar and name tag. If your dog strays or runs off, I will always inform you immediately and arrange a plan of action.
  • Do you have Insurance?
Yes, I am insured via Pet Business Insurance - A copy of my certificate of cover can be made available upon request. My Cover is as follows: Public Liability: £5,000,000 Care, Custody & Control: £20,000 Non Negligent Cover: £20,000 Loss of Keys: £10,000 Loss of Money: £500
  • Do my dogs need to be up to date with vaccinations?
Yes. In order to sit and walk your dogs they must be up to date with vaccinations, be wormed and flea treated.
  • What's the best way to enquire about services and booking?
Please call me on 07715 748817 or email info@clairespamperedpooches.co.uk. You can also make any enquires via the Contact page of this website.
  • Will you keep my dog on a lead?
With prior written consent all dogs are excercised off the lead. If you would like your dog to be kept on the lead I am happy to use a flexi lead or longer lead to give them more freedom.
  • How long is a doggy day care day?
Doggy daycare is usually for an 8 hour period, I can collect your dog from your home and drop them back for you, or you can drop/collect from me. Should you require any additional hours, please ask and I will do my best to accommodate you.
  • Do my dogs need to be insured for you to look after them?
I would recommend that all dogs in my care are insured, and that should also include public liability insurance.
  • What happens if the weather is bad?
I have wellies and a wax jacket - I walk in anything. If your dog feels the cold it may be useful to supply a coat. I will always return your dog rubbed down with a towel if they are wet upon my return.
  • How will I know my dog is enjoying themselves?
With your permission I have a policy of taking videos and pictures of your dog having fun. I can email or message these to you. I guarantee your dog will be exhausted and happy at the end of the day.
  • Do I need to fill anything out?
If you wish for me to look after your dog, you will need to fill out an information sheet, which includes contact details, emergency contacts, medical requirements, likes and dislikes and any verbal commands used, etc. I would also like to visit you and your dog in your home. I may ask that you bring your dog to my house to meet my dogs and family if they are doing daycare.
  • Will my dog have access to fresh water?
I have a minimum of three water bowls filled and refreshed throughout the day in the house, and water is taken on walks if over an hour. Upon returning your dog, I will refresh their water.
  • Will you be able to feed my dog whilst they are in day care?
Yes, I can feed your dog whilst in daycare. Most of the dogs I have are fed before they come to me or after they are dropped off. I always check and refresh water when dropping off. If you have a puppy and they are on 3-4 meals a day. Please make sure their food is in a named container with instructions on, ie. time they eat and quantity. I can also feed your dog if there is a dietary or medical requirement/condition. If your dogs are boarding with me then of course they will be fed. All I ask is that you supply the food for the whole duration of their stay along with any treats. I do not feed rawhide treats for fear of choking.
  • What happens if my dog is taken ill or has an accident in your care?
I will access the situation and treat if necessary with cleaning the wound, and treating with anti bacterial spray, and will call you to fully advise and take instructions. If I cannot reach you I will act in the best interests of your dog, and contact your vet for guidance using the information provided by you on your form. Should any of these circumstances arise, any costs incurred must be paid by you as the owner and I accept no responsibility for or liability thereof, unless due to negligence or incompetence on my part.
